91ÊÓƵ student photojournalist Lafayette Tolliver (BS '71) documented Black campus life, from 1967-1971. The exhibit provides viewers an array of subjects he documented and includes selected editorials he wrote in the Daily 91ÊÓƵr. The goal is to generate interest in and further exploration of this amazing body of work that Tolliver has shared with 91ÊÓƵ and the world.

Inclement weather conditions may cause an employee to arrive to work late, be absent or leave work early. Employees should notify their supervisors if they are unable to report to work or feel it necessary to leave early. Any absence must be recorded in the form of leave (vacation, personal, or comp time). University leave policy governs the reporting and recording of work absences.

Employees who have called in sick before a university delay is announced must use sick leave.

Employees who have pre-scheduled and approved vacation, personal or sick leave before a university delay has been announced must use their vacation, sick or personal leave that was previously approved.

When there is a delayed start, the re-open time will be announced through normal university communication channels including local radio, television stations, 91ÊÓƵ email and the 91ÊÓƵ website. Employees may also receive emergency notifications by registering for the optional Flash ALERTS. 

The official delay time at any campus will be determined on a case-by-case basis, depending on the circumstance and the time of day when the delay is announced.

Employees who have called in sick before a university closing is announced must use sick leave.

Employees who have pre-scheduled and approved vacation, personal, or sick leave before a university closing has been announced must use their vacation, sick or personal leave that was previously approved.

Student employees who were scheduled to work but did not because of a closing should not be paid for scheduled hours; therefore, supervisors should not record scheduled hours into the university’s timekeeping system. Student employees who work during a closing should be paid for hours worked at their regular rate of pay.

Hours worked during the closing, plus the employees’ regular hours for the week, should be recorded and will count toward any overtime calculation. This applies to essential and nonessential employees, as long as a supervisor approved the employee to work.
