Offered through the Pepsi Leadership Center, this free one-day immersive experience is designed for students who are just starting their leadership journey - freshmen, sophomores, and those stepping into their first leadership roles. The Emerging Leader Institute challenges participants to explore impactful leadership principles and develop the skills needed to lead with purpose and authenticity. Elbert Joseph Perez is a self-taught painter based in Hudson, New York. His oil paintings draw from personal symbolism, art history, philosophy and literature to create allegorical narratives that reflect on the fragility and strength of the human psyche.
Maura Wright is a Kansas City-based visual artist working primarily in earthenware clay and painted paper. Her ceramic vessels, still life sculptures and large-scale installations draw from Rococo ornamentation, interior fresco painting and the expressiveness of touch in American folk art.
Tyanna J. Buie is an artist and educator whose work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions nationally. A native of Chicago and Milwaukee, Buie has received fellowships and awards including the Joan Mitchell Painters & Sculptors Grant, the Kresge Artist Fellowship and the Ruth Arts/Mary L. Nohl Alumni Award.
Joshua Kosker is a contemporary jeweler and visual artist based in western Michigan. His work explores craft, materiality and the body through unexpected and often ephemeral materials, challenging traditional ideas of value and permanence in jewelry and objects.
