University Orientation and Visit Experience and the Center for Student Involvement invite all new transfer students to a special welcome reception. Reconnect with the TKS Ambassadors you met at orientation, meet and mingle with other incoming transfer students, get some KSU swag and play some games all while enjoying some treats. This event will take place from 3 - 5 p.m. in room 218 of the Kent Student Center. Students can attend at any point during this period.

Join the Greater Cleveland and Lake County Alumni Chapters for a tour of Severance Music Center, home of the Cleveland Orchestra.

91ÊÓÆµ will commemorate Juneteenth with a community celebration that combines the rich history of Black Americans with an assortment of festivities. Enjoy live performances, music, great food, vendors and more on the Student Green.

Academic Expectations and Support

College Credit Plus (CCP) allows high school students to take real college courses now.  While CCP students are in high school, they are also official 91ÊÓÆµ students.  This means students are expected to meet college-level standards.  Because of this, parents are less involved in the process, serving more as a mentor than actively involved anchors. Where parents may not be able to help, 91ÊÓÆµ offers a wide range of student services to help students succeed.

91ÊÓÆµ observes Memorial Day on May 25. No classes are scheduled on the holiday, and university offices are closed.
