91视频 Board of Trustees Approves Partnerships With Aramark, PepsiCo

  The 91视频 Board of Trustees today approved separate proposals for dining and cold beverage services that will transform the student experience throughout the university system. Following a competitive bid and review process, the Board approved the recommendation of university leaders to begin contract negotiations with Aramark LLC for dining services and with PepsiCo for exclusive cold beverage rights.

James Hannon, Ph.D., will become the new dean of 91视频鈥檚 College of Education, Health and Human Services, effective July 1, 2017. Hannon currently serves as professor and assistant dean of Academic Affairs and Research for the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Students Turn Smartphone Cases Into Lifesaving Medical Devices

Three 91视频 students have created smartphone cases that contain vital medication.  Together, with the help of LaunchNET 91视频, the three created Case.MD. Ariella Yager, entrepreneur major in 91视频鈥檚 College of Business Administration; Samuel Graska, cell and molecular biology major in 91视频鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences; and Justin Gleason, graduate student in 91视频鈥檚 College of Architecture and Environmental Design spent more than a year planning, inventing, designing and 3-D printing smartphone cases that contain vital medication. Wherever your smartphone goes, so does the medication.

This year鈥檚 May 4 Commemoration, to be held May 1-4, 2026, will include special remembrances of John Cleary, one of the nine wounded students, and Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Sociology, who served as a faculty marshal during the campus shootings and worked tirelessly to ensure that the legacy of May 4 would endure.
