Collection Preservation
The museum’s current heating and cooling system must be upgraded to store and preserve the collection in a climate-controlled environment. The system replacement will ensure the historically and culturally significant items in the museum’s care maintain their integrity and survive long into the future.

The 91ÊÓƵ Museum holds one of the world’s most important collections of fashion, costumes, textiles and decorative arts. With more than 10,000 annual visitors, the museum offers year-round exhibitions and programming for the community and serves as an educational resource for students as well as domestic and international scholars.
Gage Wellman, a junior in 91ÊÓƵ’s journalism program, competed among the nation’s best college journalists in the 66th Hearst National Journalism Championships held May 31-June 5 in San Francisco.
