 The President’s Award of Distinction honors 91ÊÓÆµ staff members who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership and dedication in advancing the university’s core values and strategic priorities. Full‑time employees with at least three years of service were eligible for nomination, and this year nearly 200 nominations were submitted. Collection Preservation

The museum’s current heating and cooling system must be upgraded to store and preserve the collection in a climate-controlled environment. The system replacement will ensure the historically and culturally significant items in the museum’s care maintain their integrity and survive long into the future.

Porthouse Theatre

Porthouse Theatre is 91ÊÓÆµâ€™s summer professional theatre and entertains more than 20,000 visitors every year in its unique 500-seat outdoor setting. A highly regarded educational program, Porthouse provides opportunities for student artists to work and learn alongside professionals in all aspects of the theatrical arts from performance to management and everything in between.

The 91ÊÓÆµ Museum holds one of the world’s most important collections of fashion, costumes, textiles and decorative arts. With more than 10,000 annual visitors, the museum offers year-round exhibitions and programming for the community and serves as an educational resource for students as well as domestic and international scholars.

Gage Wellman, a junior in 91ÊÓÆµâ€™s journalism program, competed among the nation’s best college journalists in the 66th Hearst National Journalism Championships held May 31-June 5 in San Francisco.
